Marc-André has been passionate about sales since he was in childbirth (this disease runs in his family) and for more than 20 years he has been able to use his skills in the automotive field and more recently in the residential sector for more than 20 years. retirees. He is passionate about food and wine for a long time and enjoys pleasing people with his cooking.
Annie is a lawyer and passionate about the development, construction, and management of retirement residences for the past ten years. She likes to be with people and having fun. She is the best Marc-Andre’s customer and supporter.
They are an entrepreneur couple.
Marc and Annie both decided to sell their house and quit their jobs to live new adventures and see what is the world has to offer. They left Montreal, Canada aboard their sailboat Air Cool in 2019, heading south to the Caribbean, a nautical journey of 4500 miles.
The project was island hopping during few seasons and enjoy cruising life in paradise. They were in the Bahamas when Covid hit. With all the island’s boundaries closed down south, they were almost resigned to go back to Canada after more than 57 days of confinement on the boat.
Grenada has finally opened and they decided to leave the Bahamas for Grenada to shelter for the hurricane season 2020 with a flotilla of 8 boats. After a stop in Turks & Caicos and Puerto Rico, they head directly to Grenada because no islands were opened.
After an awful sail and another 11 days of quarantine in the rolly quarantine anchorage of St.Georges, they finally arrived at their landing place for hurricane season 2020, Le Phare Bleu Marina.
Marc and Annie fell in love with the place and were marina and resort customers for a while. They sailed up and down from Grenada to Carriacou for 6-8 months, their base stayed at Le Phare Bleu.
They became friends with Gilles and Mary from M&M Market and one dinner after few glasses of wine, came up with the idea to open a coffee shop and a laundromat at Le Phare Bleu in partnership with Gilles and Marie.
M&M pastries and the best coffee on the island, can’t go wrong with that. They also offer light breakfasts and sweets. Marc-Andre and Gilles team up on their passion for offering good and unique food and Mary and Annie are a good team in customer service and experience.
Offering a self-serve laundromat for cruisers and land-based people is a nice addition to the marina and resort amenities.
Come enjoy a coffee, grab some groceries at Meat & Meet Market, and do your laundry surrounded by the beautiful grounds of Le Phare Bleu.
